A properly sized rug grounds your room and makes it feel larger. Here is a quick cheat sheet:

• Living Room: At a minimum, the front legs of your sofa and chairs should sit on the rug.
• Dining Room: Allow about 24 inches of rug beyond the edge of the table on all sides so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.
